Will get $25 J&J rebate and $3 renpure mail in rebate (not Rite Aid)

Here are a couple of notes:
1. Always give your $/$$ coupons first, don't even hand them other ones.
2. If you use more then 1 inad coupon, you need more then 1 inad coupon (I know some stores use the same coupon several times).  I had to have 2 sales flies to cut coupons out of and will get another when I walk in the store today for the last transaction.
3. In the 1st transaction my RA counted tax as part of the $25, if yours requires $25 in merchandise just add a bandaid or a cheap filler.

If you could do transaction 1 two times adding a pack of bandaids you would make about $18, I don't have another 5/25 or my 5/20vv (I used it last week).

I hope this motivates someone to get out there and get a great deal!

More Questions

1. Who is Hope and Life Brazil?
Well actually  no one!  It is a piece a property.  A ministry.  The property is owned by Jim, he runs things in the USA.  The Atkinson/Moores are on site in Brazil working to get things set up there so they can run children's camps and several other ministries.  Check out their website, link to the right.

2.  Did Atkinsons/Moores just go down there with no money?  Didn't they know they would have these expenses?
Of course they didn't go down with no money, they have what they need to live on.  The Atkinsons budgeted to build a house, that is what they are using to buy their house, it will actually cost them less this way.  They have money budgeted for a vehicle it is just costing a lot more then they expected.  Everything is costing more then they expected.  The camp needs lots of work.  They had to upgrade the electric and replace water tanks.

3.  Wasn't someone using the camp before?
Yes, but it has been several years.  Lots of stuff that was there is no longer there.  And some of the things that are there, buildings ect. need work, lots of work.

Questions?

I have gotten several questiong about the fund raising and what is happening in Brazil.  Here is my attempt to answer them, I will probably answer some every day.  Feel free to leave questions in the comment box.

1. Why are you having checks written out to "Christ Community Church" instead of "Hope and Life Brazil"?
Because Hope and Life Brazil is still working on their 501c3, this way people who want tax receipts will be sure to get them.

2. Why are you having the checks sent to you instead of Christ Community Church or Hope and Life Brazil?
Because I am doing the fund raiser and keeping track, so I know when we have raised enough money for the tower and enough monthly support.  While the church will keep track for tax purposes, they aren't collecting addresses and e-mail addresses to send to Atkinsons/Moores, I am.  CCC will cut a check(s) to Hope and Life Brazil.

3. Couldn't  Hope and Life Brazil keep the records?
Yes they could. They are very professional. But they are preparing to lead a team on a trip to Brazil next month and I am trying to make their life easier. And it keeps everything in one place.

4. What's up with the paypal?
I thought that would be an easy way for those who just want to give a few $$.  I will take out the whole amount that comes in and give it to Hope and Life.

5. Do Atkinsons/Moores have access to the money?
Yes, any money that is designated to them goes to them.

Brazil News

Well I guess it takes more then great deals to get me to blog.  But this is something exciting to blog about.  David's parents, Howard and Marilyn, and one of David's sisters, Carolyn, her husband Brad and their 11 kids have moved to Brazil to open a camp.  They are hoping to minister to the very poor and to orphans among other things.

It is a totally cool story.  Here's the VERY quick version: Brad and Carolyn Atkinson had been feeling like God was leading them to run a children's camp, they even followed several leads but doors always closed.
David's youngest sister, Mary Jane and her husband Jim went to Brazil on a mission trip, while they were there they went to look at a piece of property for the Atkinson's and told someone why, that person told someone else and long story short Jim ended up getting a 100+ acre camp given to him!  The Atkinson's have moved to the camp.  Carolyn's parents, who were missionaries in Brazil for years, have gone with them to help. The camp hasn't been used for several years and needs lots of work.
